Worldwide Protests Against Enviro-elites
There are large and growing protests around the world in response to draconian measures being taken by world governments to reduce carbon and other emissions that are deemed harmful to the environment. People seem to be saying the medicine worse than the disease. And they may be right.
No doubt, the climate changes, has always changed and will always change. To some extent, human beings and our activities on earth can play a role in those changes. We should always look for ways to improve the world around us, and keeping the world as pristine as possible is one way man acts to redeem a fallen world.
That said, we are fallible beings, and rarely able to see the long term consequences of our actions, no matter how well-intentioned.
Most people are happy to do what they can, within reason, to help the environment. But when government bureaucrats set arbitrary goals for emissions that cause massive hardship among the populace, you've got a problem.
When those same bureaucrats do not lead by example - but do the exact opposite of what they cram down on everyone else, you have a bigger problem.
That's what is happening now in Sri Lanka, in the Netherlands, in Panama, and here in the United States. Listen to this professor give his take on the issue.
