I’m coming to you today from Erbil, Iraq—dust in the air, storms rolling in, and the Middle East heating up in more ways than one. From Gaza to Syria, Israel to Turkey, it feels like the whole region’s on a knife’s edge. And while most media outlets are missing the real story, we’re going to break it down right here.

Let’s start with what could have been a very dangerous confrontation that barely made headlines.

Israeli Drone Strikes Target HTS Forces Amid Sectarian Clashes Near Damascus

On April 30, 2025, violent clashes erupted in and around Damascus, Syria, as forces affiliated with the transitional government, including Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), engaged in confrontations with Druze militants in the Ashrafieh Sahnaya neighborhood. The violence has reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and raised concerns about potential mass killings.

In response to the escalating conflict, Israel announced that it had conducted multiple drone strikes targeting HTS militants in Sahnaya. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the strikes were aimed at extremists allegedly preparing attacks on the Druze community, emphasizing Israel’s commitment to protecting Druze populations with historic and religious ties to Israel and Lebanon .

These operations mark a significant development, as they represent Israel’s first direct military engagement against HTS forces since the group’s rise to power following the fall of Syrian ...

The Red Team Challenge: Are You Ready?

“We reject the cultural narrative that says “just be nice” and we embrace

the call to live holy, bold, and dangerous lives for the Kingdom.”

Chuck Holton

We’ve talked about manhood, brotherhood, obedience, and mission. Now it’s time to bring it all together and issue the challenge. Because at the end of the day, the Red Team isn’t just an idea—it’s a call to action.

🇸🇾 Reporting from the Hot Zone: Dust Storms, Fires, and Asymmetric War

I'm coming to you from Syria—a place that, frankly, doesn’t exactly scream “paradise.” Last night we got hit with one of the most intense dust storms I’ve ever seen. Locals call it a haboo, but let me tell you: when the wind’s howling at 40 miles an hour and it’s literally raining mud, you stop caring what it’s called and start praying your vehicle doesn’t flip over.

It’s the kind of place where livestreaming from the field would’ve been a great way to die—or at least lose a few cameras.

But storms aren’t the only thing stirring up dust around here. There’s war brewing on every side, and I’m here with the Free Burma Rangers, a humanitarian group that brings help, hope, and love into places no one else dares to go. Our mission takes us straight into the heart of conflict zones like Syria, Iraq, Sudan, and beyond—because when the world’s on fire, somebody’s got to show up with water.

And speaking of fire…

How to Build a Tribe That Changes the World

“I don’t want a program—I want to be part of a unit that is on mission.”

Chuck Holton

Let’s be honest—most men’s groups feel more like a support group than a war room. We sit in circles, sip coffee, and talk about how we want to be better husbands or read our Bibles more. That’s all fine. But I’m not looking for a coffee club. I want to be part of a tribe. A unit. A team on a mission.
