@ChuckHolton - Do you remember the story where David, was once again having to flee from Saul, and he went to King Akhish, started acting like he lost his mind because the people grabbed him? SCORE! Then David got wild eyed, started drooling and clawing at the walls....
The people knew his rep, and yet the King said..the dude is meshugga! You could almost hear the scoffing of the people when they were saying ...lookee here, big bad "KING of Israel- DAVID"...He's a nut!
We know he was not crazy, OR weak.
Which brings me to today's live discussion.
If I understand this correctly, the European countries have decided, because Trump hasn't done anything, or at least not like they want, they are going to take on Putin, and take care of Iran, and 'we are excluded"?
THEY are going to impose sanctions on Iran?
Anyone having an issue with this? How many times has Trump said "Europe needs to start pulling their weight?" WHY are they just now threatening sanctions? Why have they not put some heat on ...

Iran Is MOCKING the U.S. — And Daring Us to Strike

Let’s talk about the big story today: Iran is laughing at us. Literally. While our diplomats are busy jogging from one negotiation to another trying to spin up deals, Tehran is jamming GPS signals in the Straits of Hormuz and openly threatening global trade. Meanwhile, President Trump’s administration claims we’re “close to a deal.” The Ayatollah says otherwise. In fact, he’s saying things so belligerent, they don’t even deserve a response. But they do deserve attention.

The Strait of Tension

Let’s look at the map. The Strait of Hormuz—a narrow 22-mile shipping chokepoint bordered by Oman and the UAE—is a critical artery for global energy. Around 20% of the world’s oil and nearly 30% of natural gas move through there. Iran knows this. That’s why they’re jamming GPS signals and harassing commercial ships. They want vessels to veer into Iranian waters so they can pounce, seize, and make headlines.

And they’ve done it before. This isn’t new. Back in 2019, they pulled the same stunt when we applied “maximum pressure.” It’s a game of brinksmanship, and they’re playing to win.

Moody’s Just Downgraded U.S. Debt — Why It Matters

Here's something that's kinda been ignored in the news:  For the first time in history, Moody’s has downgraded the credit rating of U.S. government debt. That might sound like Wall Street jargon, but it has real-world consequences — and it’s a big deal.
