"Who would set thorn bushes and weeds against Me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together. Or let him take hold of My strength and make peace with Me. Let him make peace with Me! Those who come He causes to take root in Jacob; Israel shall blossom and bud. And they shall fill the face of the world with fruit." (Isaiah 27:4-6)
The Lord even desires His enemies to come to Him, and make peace; through faith (in the Gospel), embracing His strength. For only in Him can anyone find true righteousness and strength (Isaiah 45:24). Likewise, if we embrace His mighty power, and forsake our self-reliance; freely yielding to His leadership (obeying His word and Spirit), then we'll come to personally discover, an abundance of peace that surpasses all understanding. For the yoke of our Lord Jesus Christ is easy, and His burden is truly light.
But if we live selfishly (worldly), we make ourselves His enemies (James 4:4); and there is no peace for the wicked.
Furthermore, by living for God's glory, we will become a blessing to many. For people around us will experience life-giving nourishment, through our spiritual fruitfulness and vitality.
"He who trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall blossom like a branch." (Proverbs 11:28)
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise."
(Proverbs 11:30)
