I found this hole-in-the-wall gun range in Panama City yesterday. Until then, I believed there was only one commercial range in the whole country, which is a member's only club.
Many people are now buying guns in Panama, because for the last 8 years or so there has been a moratorium on importing firearms, which led to guns being SUPER expensive. I paid $4,000 for a Springfield XD-M.
Now guns are more reasonable, but there's still a process to get one. It's more difficult than West Virginia, easier than Maryland or New York. You need a drug test, background check, training certificate, and mental health exam, then apply and wait three weeks or so. I applied three weeks ago and am still waiting...I thought it would be done yesterday but no such luck. Bureaucracy in Panama is like the national sport. Once I get my gun (had to turn it in as part of the application process) I will probably go shooting at this range.
Oh, and ammunition is plentiful and reasonably priced here, too.
