Good morning, everyone. 😊 Today, is a good day, to have a good day! I wanted to take a minute and address those that are "pantry preparedness, challenged." FYI- that was ME a few yeas ago. Watching YT preppers, I was buying stuff I would never use, especially food! So, the food drives would LOVE to see me coming.. Umm, yeah, I spent 100 bucks on this stuff because so and so said "I HAD TO BUY THIS NOW". I panicked and, well that didn't work out so well! Do NOT go there. I have learned, to have my pantry stocked with food WE eat, and give to the food bank from that! It's so much better that way. I'm piggy-backing on Chucks video regarding Pakistan and India. Will this BE the straw that broke the camels back? That's not why we prepare. I like to use the 'put your mask on first, and then you will be able to help others" reasoning. It seems WRONG to put yours on first, when the children needs theirs..right? You are smart enough to figure the rest of that out. Back to the video, Chuck mentioned stocking beans and rice. "Southern Mama" here..yep, that's something we grew up eating on a regular basis... AND-I-HATED-IT! Shhh, I don't like sweet tea either, or warm tea, or hot tea šŸ˜‚ Please don't take my southern card away. 🤣 But, the reason I never liked beans and rice was, well, they blew me up like a tick on a dogs back. Not many pleasant memories from that. Well, unless you don't mind a house full of bass horns blowing throughout the house. 🤢🤣
But, a mindful person does realize that those things are still smart to have around. However, there are more beans out there than you can shake a stick at...WHICH ONES?🄓 And so, that sent me on a search, and I found there is no gasless bean. However there does exist, easier to digest, and a lower gas risk bean, that I want to tell you about. They are called Anasazi Beans. They don't require overnight soaking, but do benefit from a hour or 2 if you have time. The cool thing about these guys are they have the ability to taste like what they were cooked in and not just "beans". Umm, taste like chicken šŸ˜†. Again, they are not a no gas bean, but, you can add them to the very LOW gas bean category. Especially when you do soak them. So, if you are just starting out, consider grabbing a few bags or pounds. Then, the next step is to keep them in a dark, cool, air tight storage. The 40 pound bags arrive in a burlap bag, and yes, YOU MUST be aware that they might have some dust and a twig or two. Don't wash them, just pick through and repackage-and then you are done. I don't have to say, wash your beans and rice before you cook them- RIGHT? šŸ˜† I'm posting the link to the ONLY place that legally grows them in the US. You can find them on Amazon, and they are ILLEGAL resellers! So, don't even go there! I can also recommend the Bolita Beans as well. They make a super replacement for pintos and white beans. Happy Pantry stocking folks! 😊 It's actually fun building your very own grocery store.. eventually 🤣

Israeli Drone Strikes Target HTS Forces Amid Sectarian Clashes Near Damascus

On April 30, 2025, violent clashes erupted in and around Damascus, Syria, as forces affiliated with the transitional government, including Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), engaged in confrontations with Druze militants in the Ashrafieh Sahnaya neighborhood. The violence has reportedly resulted in civilian casualties and raised concerns about potential mass killings.

In response to the escalating conflict, Israel announced that it had conducted multiple drone strikes targeting HTS militants in Sahnaya. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the strikes were aimed at extremists allegedly preparing attacks on the Druze community, emphasizing Israel’s commitment to protecting Druze populations with historic and religious ties to Israel and Lebanon . ļæ¼

These operations mark a significant development, as they represent Israel’s first direct military engagement against HTS forces since the group’s rise to power following the fall of Syrian ...

Hamas Waging Psychological War

This Is How Hamas Defeats Israel in the Psychological Arena

Dr. Yitzhak Mansdorf, an expert in behavioral psychology and psychological warfare at the Jerusalem Center for Foreign and Security Affairs, warns that Hamas is waging a sophisticated conflict against Israel that is not only military but also psychological. ā€œHamas employs a well-known psychological mechanism: the promise of immediate emotional rewards, such as releasing hostages, overshadows long-term rational considerations. This strategy turns Israeli society itself into a tool to pressure its government,ā€ he explains. He adds, ā€œThe cost—strengthening a murderous enemy—is high, but the immediate hope blinds the public.ā€

Dr. Mansdorf notes that Hamas also succeeds internationally by portraying itself as a helpless victim while holding hostages, initiating wars, and hiding behind civilians. ā€œThis is a sophisticated psychological campaign, and Israel must understand the rules of the game and refuse to play by the ...

Modern War Isn’t What It Used to Be

How Hybrid Warfare Is Redrawing Global Battle Lines

The face of war has changed. It’s no longer tanks rolling into cities or fighter jets screaming overhead. In 2025, conflict is about disruption, deception, and asymmetry. What’s unfolding across the Middle East — with Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iran, and their backers — is a masterclass in hybrid warfare.

From State Wars to Proxy Chaos

Back in World War II, only nation-states could wage global war. You needed vast armies and enormous budgets. Not anymore.

Reporting from the Hot Zone: Why You Should Care About India and Pakistan’s Escalating Conflict

Believe it or not, one of the most dangerous places on earth right now isn’t any of those war zones. It’s a region thousands of miles away, where nuclear weapons, ancient hatred, and modern geopolitics are colliding.

Ā I’m talking about the India-Pakistan border.

If you’re thinking, ā€œWhy should I care what happens between two countries halfway across the world?ā€ā€”hear me out. What’s happening in South Asia right now isn’t just a local dispute. It’s a powder keg with the potential to ignite a global catastrophe.

Ā

Ever since the British hastily carved up India and Pakistan along religious lines in 1947, this region has been soaked in blood. Fifteen million people were forcibly displaced. At least a million were slaughtered. Hundreds of thousands of women were raped, kidnapped, or trafficked.

It wasn’t a clean split between Hindus and Muslims. Entire communities were severed by a line drawn by bureaucrats who didn’t understand—or care about—the realities on the ground. It was a disaster from day one.

And that disaster hasn’t stopped. Since then:

- Four wars between India and Pakistan.
- Dozens of skirmishes and terror attacks.
- Pakistan has launched virtually every major aggression.

This isn’t ancient history. In just the last few days, things have boiled over again.

Ā

Ā What’s Happening Now

It started with a terror attack in Kashmir, killing 26 Indian tourists. The attackers? Linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based jihadist group.

India responded by striking terrorist infrastructure inside Pakistan. They were careful—targeting militants, not civilians or military bases. But Pakistan saw it as an act of war.

And now? Reports of dogfights between Indian and Pakistani jets. Shootdowns on both sides.

We’re not just talking border skirmishes anymore. We’re teetering dangerously close to something far worse.

Because here’s the kicker: Both nations have nuclear weapons.

Ā

Ā Nuclear Armed—and Trigger Happy

India has around 160 nuclear warheads. Pakistan - 165.

But it’s not just the numbers—it’s the doctrine.

Ā India says it won’t use nukes first.
Ā Pakistan has refused to make that promise.

In fact, Pakistan has repeatedly threatened to use nukes preemptively. It’s the only majority-Muslim nation with nuclear weapons—and its government is unstable, its military doctrine aggressive, and its ties to jihadist groups well documented.

If Pakistan uses even a small tactical nuke on India, India’s response won’t be proportional. It’ll be overwhelming. Full send. And if that happens, millions will die. Not just there—but possibly elsewhere.

Why? Because a nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan could throw enough soot into the atmosphere to lower global temperatures, disrupt food production, and trigger famine affecting up to two billion people.

Think about that. A regional nuclear war could starve a quarter of the world.

Ā

Ā What Does This Mean for Us?

You might be thinking: ā€œOkay, Chuck, that sounds terrible for them—but what does it have to do with me?ā€

Here’s why you should care:

- If nukes are used, global food prices will skyrocket.
- Supply chains will collapse.
- Markets will crash.
- Shipping lanes will close.
- And the taboo against using nukes in warfare—intact since 1945—would be broken.

Once the first nuke is used in war, others will follow. Russia. North Korea. Iran. The dominos fall.

That’s why I say: pay attention.

If you hear reports of any kind of nuclear use in South Asia, don’t panic—but prepare. Stock up on food, supplies, and essentials immediately. Because the shelves will clear fast.

Ā

Ā A Christian Perspective

As believers, we shouldn’t live in fear. But we’re called to be wise stewards, prepared for trouble (Proverbs 22:3).

And we’re called to pray. Pray for peace in this region. Pray for wisdom for leaders. Pray that cooler heads prevail.

Because if war comes, it won’t stop at the borders of India and Pakistan.
