Heavenly Father,
Graciously give us a vision of Your kingdom, that our present afflictions would pale in comparison, and we would see things in clarity.
For You are our Burden Bearer, the One who took away our sin through the sacrifice of Your Son. You are the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3) and promises to make all things new in the end (Revelation 21:5). Through Your lovingkindness, cause us to stand upon the Rock of Jesus (Psalm 40:2). For it is written, "Whoever believes on Him will never be put to shame" (Romans 10:11). He is our firm foundation (1 Corinthians 3:11), upon whom we will never be shaken nor moved (Psalm 62:2).
Turn us away from anxious strivings and selfish ambition (Philippians 2:3, 4:6), so that we may fix our eyes on the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). By His strength we can do all things and love with Your very nature (Philippians 4:13, 1 John 4:7). We can bear the fruits of righteousness abundantly (Philippians 1:11)—not because of ourselves, but because we abide in and rely upon the Perfect Son (John 15:5). All for the sake of Your glorious name.
Father, let us fulfill the Great Commission of discipling the nations through our obedience to the Great Commandments—loving You with everything and our neighbors.
Amen and amen.
